The winners of the Barclays Women’s Super League awards for January have now been confirmed.

Decided by a combination of the public and a panel of experts, the results of January’s votes are as follows.

Firstly, Ella Toone has been named as Player of the Month after a scintillating start to 2025 for Manchester United.

Scoring a hat-trick in a 4-2 derby victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium to mark the return of the leagues following the winter break, Toone followed up her treble with an effort in a 3-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion a week later.

The forward saw off competition from Nathalie Björn, Millie Bright, Bethany England, Vivianne Miedema, Olivia Smith, Elisabeth Terland and Julie Thibaud to take the award.

Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor meanwhile has been named as Manager of the Month for the third time this season.

Manchester United boss Marc Skinner and Spurs’ Robert Vilahamn were also in contention, but Bompastor picked up the award once again, having previously emerged victorious in the same category in September and November.

Finally, Vivianne Miedema’s strike against Aston Villa has been voted as Goal of the Month, with the Manchester City forward’s effort at Villa Park last month coming out on top in the voting polls.

Scoring twice in City’s 4-2 win, Miedema’s second goal of the game was voted as January’s winning strike, defeating Olivia Smith, Veatriki Sarri, Catarina Macario, Aggie Beever-Jones, Sandy Baltimore, Mary Fowler and Olivia Holdt.
