LONDON LAUNCHES FIRST FORUM In addition to the main Soccerex event in Dubai, in 2005 we launched our regional Forum model with our flagship event held at the Institute of Directors in London. In 2007, the Forum moved to Wembley Stadium.

MANCHESTER HOSTS ITS FIRST SOCCEREX EVENT Soccerex returns to England at Manchester’s ‘Theatre of Dreams’ as Sir Bobby Charlton welcomes delegates to Old Trafford for the 5th and largest edition of Soccerex’s early history.

1999

WE GO STATE-SIDE Soccerex goes state-side as the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles hosts a groundbreaking event for the region. The event united football figures from five continents in the US ahead of their hosting of the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup™.

1998

SOCCEREX LANDS IN PARIS In the run up to France’s hosting of the 1998 FIFA World Cup™, Soccerex launches in Paris. The event was one of the first to ever be held at the newly built Stade de France.

1996 – 1997

LONDON LAUNCHES SOCCEREX The inaugural Soccerex event is opened by Sir Stanley Matthews at London’s Wembley Stadium and returns a year later. The king of sports marketing and founder of IMG, Mark McCormack, was amongst the keynote speakers.

COMPANY FOUNDED Having been born into the world of football, Duncan Revie, son of the former England manager, Don Revie, establishes Soccerex as a way of connecting the industry and enhancing the game’s commercial potential.
