The partnership will deliver a variety of projects across the US and in collaboration with World Cup host Cities in lead up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup to deliver a variety of impactful activations including hosting Peace Matches and creating Young Leaders in host Cities. FfP are already working with host City candidate Baltimore-Maryland.
Football for Peace build sustainable initiatives to support communities across the globe by bringing peace and prosperity through implementing advocacy and peace-building approaches around issues of inequalities, water sustainability, wellbeing, environmental degradation, and education.
FfP have a long heritage of delivering soccer-based programmes globally and will now unify American football and soccer to deliver a range of activations across the States in 2022. FfP is proud to announce San Francisco 49ers Cornerback Josh Norman and STARZ24, whose mission is to enrich the lives of children through financial, health, and educational support programs, as the first Founding Partner in the USA.
Football for Peace (FfP) was established in 2006 at the United Nations New York Office by Elias Figueroa, the Chilean and FIFA legend, and supported by former Secretary-General the late Kofi Annan. In 2013, FfP was officially co‐founded internationally by professional footballer and football diplomat Kashif Siddiqi who then led a sustained agreement signing at the United Nations Geneva Office of Sports for Development and Peace.
