The eSports movement continues to bear witness to exponential growth, with the Udinese team progressing at speed ahead of the upcoming eSerieATIM season.

“We decided to move into the world of eSports in February 2020,” said Udinese vice president Stefano Campoccia. “Our approach is centred around three fundamental aims: the creation of a community of gamers, the promotion of young talents and the organisation of gaming events at the Dacia Arena. As we prepare for the first-ever edition of eSerieATIM, our partnership with D-LINK is a source of great pride for the team – and one that allows our project to take another step forward.

D-Link Europe president Stefano Nordio also shared his satisfaction at the news.

“The D-Link partnership with Udinese eSports heralds our company’s first step into the world of eSports and gaming,” he said. “It is an important moment which speaks to our commitment to supporting new generations and their interests, which are closely linked to the connectivity sector. We can’t wait to get started on this new adventure alongside Udinese eSports, an established team in the international gaming panorama featuring some young, talented gamers.”

The partnership will kick off with activities around the launch of eSerieATIM, with matches set to be shown live on Lega Calcio’s official channels and at a later time on Sky Sport Italia.

D-Link and Udinese eSports are aiming to work closely together around all activities and online gaming competitions that are held at the Dacia Arena in Udine, not just football.
