As part of the agreement, Gatorade will secure signage at Banc of California Stadium from boxes to the stands. Meanwhile, players and staff will have access to Gatorade during training and on the sidelines, while there will be a branded content series on social media platforms.
The club is also launching a program with Gatorade that will improve access to training for women to advance their coaching careers in soccer, on and off the pitch.
“We’re looking forward to fueling Angel City on and off the pitch and working with the club to drive meaningful change in sport,” said Jeff Kearney, Gatorade global head of sports marketing. “We’re not only partnering with what is sure to be a world-class soccer club, but one that will be part of its community, serving area youth and ushering in a new era of women’s sports in Los Angeles.”
Angel City FC recently unveiled its colors and crest ahead of the club’s inaugural 2022 season.
The club has drawn significant notice around the industry, in part through a star-studded ownership group that includes actresses Natalie Portman, Eva Longoria, and Jennifer Garner; iconic athletes such as Serena Williams, Billie Jean King, and Abby Wambach; and Ohanian and Julie Uhrman, among many others.
Other sponsorship deals include Jane Walker, Sprouts Farmers Market, Birdies, DoorDash, and Therabody.
