Celtic provided the go ahead in July and the project was configured, installed, and went live for the Europa League fixture in August within 3 weeks.
Kappture worked closely with the Celtic IT team and the on-site SodexoLive! team, to deliver the new point of sale solution.
This included new cashless payments technology reducing queues and improve customer service at Kiosks throughout the stadium. The solution will provide real time sales and stock analytics on a match day.
David Stothers, Celtic General Manager (Soft Services), explained: “After an in-depth analysis of the market, we selected Kappture as having the right technology and pedigree to help us move to the cashless stadium.
“The Hospitality system upgrade is a major investment for the club, and we are looking forward to working with the Kappture team over the coming years”
David Trotter, Divisional Managing Director – Sports & Stadia, SodexoLive!, UK & Ireland, added: “We are delighted to partner with Kappture at Celtic Football Club.
“This new technology will enable us to enhance the retail catering experience at Celtic Park and aligns to Sodexo’s commitment to foster a culture of environmental responsibility through protecting and enhancing our planet.”
